Question about the Order(continued)

Some of us do this by different means. For the record, I know a great deal of Jedi that take up Aikido (even know one that was trained somewhere out here in Japan by-I believe-the grandmaster himself. He now teaches in Austin, TX). This order, as far as I can tell, operates outside of the website-never seen them in here. Other orders encourage you to seek out live trainers. Me, I stick to my 9mm and M4 (I'm a soldier), as well as my MACH training (Police take downs) and Mananock (Police Baton) (I'm an MP). I also try and work on my "Verbal Judo" skills to reach diplomatic solutions before ththey escalate to the physical

So, my question is, does The Jedi Church teach and practice the defense of the innocent? If not, why not?The Jedi Knights are mainly peacekeepers and public defenders, after all. Sorry, ran out of space there.
