I believe the force is our deity and our universal consciousness, and has no individual free will?

This would contradict Obi Wan Kenobi when he pointed out that finding Anakin was the will of the Force. As a 'collective' free will is meaningless, it must be individual.

I bleieve the Force has/is intelligence and therfore has a will. This will possibly reflects our own individual wills and collective will, and vice versa.

I do not think the Force is a deity, more a link/connection between all things (matter and everything in it, dark matter, dark energy, etc) in the Universe (the Unifying Force), and the flow of combined energy, force, nutrients, and matter in an ecological role (the Living Force).

The Force does not have free will. It is called a FORCE for a reason. It is not conscious, and does not "help" us. When they refer to the Force as guiding them, it is not actually helping them in a sense. It is merely keeping the eternal balance of the universe.

The force is an eternal connection between all things. The "will of the force" is the will of the collective whether conscious or subconscious. We can improve our world by improving thought and helping others physically, mentally and spiritually.

There is a basic philosophical precept that something greater cannot come from something lesser. The Force therefore has a supreme consciousness and will.

We all choose our own path. Deities attempt to choose it for us (at least, some do). The Force will work with us as much as we allow it, but is something quite different.

I agree, but i disagree. Even in the use of the Force there still is free will. You make the decision of how to use it, when to use it, where to use it, and even if you will use it.

i belive in the force and the jedi ways,i think it makes more sense than all the other religions

The force is as close to a deity we should ever have. It isn't an all powerful being but it is the all powerful bond between all living things.

The force guided our evolution with no consciousness.

Free will is something the force gives us

The laws of the Force are far beyond our understanding. It may be acting by it's own accord, but it is more likely that it follows a set of laws in an attempt to maintain balance just like everything else that occurs naturally.

The force is merely a fact. It is up to us how we will act on any facts we encounter in our life.

I agree to a point. The Force has its own will, but will accept ours to further its cause.
